Your new role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple civil engineering and highway projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will be able to tick the below

  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and quality control checks.

  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and budgets.

  • Coordinate with site managers, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of daily tasks.

  • Review and approve project documentation, including risk assessments, safety audits, procurement requests, and project reports.

  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions.

About you

We are seeking a Construction Manager who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possesses a blend of technical expertise, leadership ability, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate would need to handle complex civil engineering and highway maintenance projects while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders.

You be ideally tick the below

  • Prior permitting experience, whether that's within a Highways Maintenance, Local Authority, Civils, Telecommunications or a Water company.

  • Have an understanding of the NRSWA and Traffic Management Acts (ideally)

  • Experience with Network and Asset Management software and ability to learn various IT systems efficiently

  • Be a keen learner who can tackle new tasks and manage both a busy workload and their time well
